2023 WCWS champions Oklahoma Sooners. Alyssa Brito, said “Yeah, I think a huge thing that we’ve really just latched on to is ‘Eyes up,’” she said as she pointed her eyes and first fingers upward.
“We’re really fixing our eyes on Christ, and that’s something where, like they were saying, you can’t find a fulfillment in an outcome, whether it’s good or bad.”
In every sport I remember being told to keep my eyes up. Who knows if I would have been better at it if I would have had the thought of “Eyes up – Fix your eyes on Christ.” When I’m walking I still look down, but mostly my eyes are up, seeing the beauty and joy in the world.
Music helped me find my way to know without a doubt that I am always loved.
